PwC named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Supply Chain Oracle Ecosystems Services 2021

April 13, 2021

PwC has been named as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Supply Chain Oracle Ecosystems Services 2021 Vendor Assessment (March 2021, IDC #US47537020e). ‘Across the breadth of supply chain management (SCM) applications, the Oracle ecosystem is extremely influential and important. Many strategic integration firms have developed targeted practices for this ecosystem, and some support it uniquely.’

The report states that, ‘IDC expects that, for the foreseeable future, companies that invest in resiliency and digital competencies in their supply chains will outperform those that do not.’

The report states that: ‘PwC's Oracle supply chain services are focused on articulating and delivering value to clients. PwC offers services across Oracle value chain planning and execution, plus manufacturing execution and IoT, and innovation. PwC has developed many solutions built on Oracle Cloud to enhance the value for its clients.’

Commenting on PwC’s strengths, the report states, ‘There are three main differentiating components to PwC's strategy that drive success in the market:

  • People. PwC's Oracle consultants are deep supply chain professionals’ first, technologists second. Many come from supply chain leadership positions in industry. They know how to extract value and achieve positive ROI for clients. "Transformation" is a core part of the PwC DNA.
  • Innovation and automation. PwC's industry-specific model systems and point solutions allow the company to have an 80% client-ready solution within the first month of the program. It uses this to free up effort to iterate designs that give clients competitive advantage and deliver results quickly. PwC brings integrated solutions to every engagement as well as expertise across adjacent functions (finance, tax, front-office automation).
  • Adoption. Success in the cloud is dependent on user adoption and standardization. It is an environment of continuous improvement and consumption of new capabilities rather than a game of custom development. To drive adoption, you must bring the right user experience. PwC's BXT (Business, Experience, Technology) approach to Oracle engagements allows the company to focus on the different personas and drive end-user adoption to drive value.’

Ryan Hebert, PwC Principal, said: ‘We are proud to be recognised as a leader in this IDC MarketScape. At PwC, our aim is to help our clients to get it right, the first time by opening up the vast opportunities with Oracle and creating a competitive edge. We use our BxT approach to reframe how to work, think and engage bringing ideas to life, faster and to also bring greater value to every Oracle engagement. This is the third Oracle* related IDC MarketScape where we have been named a leader in the last few months which we are very pleased about and it reinforces our strength and commitment to Oracle service offerings.’
