Sheila is a partner with PwC Law LLP and her practice has focused on US immigration law for over a decade.
Sheila has managed large green card and nonimmigrant programs for some of the largest users of the PERM and H-1B categories. Sheila has served multinational companies, including Fortune 500 companies, in a wide array of industries, including retail, hospitality, information technology, financial services, manufacturing, engineering, and oil & gas. She has advised companies on immigration strategies that impact talent acquisition and retention, as well as on US immigration compliance, including I-9 and Department of Labor compliance. Her breadth of knowledge of US immigration law has added value to companies looking to expand into the US market in innovative ways, or companies seeking greater efficiencies within their established programs. Sheila has successfully represented clients before USCIS Field Offices in various locations throughout the US, and before US Immigration Courts.
Sheila practiced US immigration law in Washington, DC and is now based in Vancouver. She graduated with a Hons. B.A. from the University of Toronto and a LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario. She is licensed to practice both US and Canadian immigration law, being admitted to the Ontario bar (Law Society of Upper Canada) and the New York State bar. Sheila is a Practitioner of Foreign Law in British Columbia. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has served as a liaison with US Customs & Border Protection.
