The Chancellor delivered his 2011 Budget Report on 23 March 2011 and the property industry should be pleasantly surprised by the Chancellor's announcements. The UK-REIT regime will be the subject of consultation on changes which will far exceed those mentioned in the Office of Tax Simplification Report published last month which had focused on simplifying the listing and close company provisions.
