In 2008, over 280,000 people of the Sudan’s Darfur region fled their homeland looking for refuge in the desert nation of Chad. While refugees’ basic needs had largely been met, the children only had limited access to primary education. At that time, PwC was considering an initiative to give our people – all over the world – the chance to make a lasting difference.
As part of the improvement in our CR reporting and communications a global environmental statement was developed to provide guidance to PwC firms across the Network. Any local environmental policy should align to the Network statement.
