Pursuant to the introduction of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25 May 2018, the Central Bank of Lebanon issued basic circular no. 146 requesting banks that fall within the scope of the GDPR to abide by it and if required under the GDPR to appoint a Data Privacy Officer.
Our aim from this workshop is to discuss the main issues identified throughout the region in respect of the impact of the GDPR and how this framework is being applied at state level and across the Middle East. In addition it will be an opportunity for for you to share your own experiences/challenges and obtain the input of our experts.
