Marc Fournier is a partner in the Consulting practice of PwC Canada working in the Montréal office. He leads the Québec IT Consulting group as well as the Québec Information Security & Privacy group. Marc is also involved in the Perspective North initiative, focusing on the impact of the plan Le Nord Pour Tous (The North for All) on Quebec’s energy sector.
Marc has more than 20 years of experience in evaluating and designing controls and security of complex IT systems, analyzing business and IT processes as well as project management. He has directed several projects involving the scoping, quality review and validation of business and IT controls documentation in the context of the SOX 404. He has also directed several projects involving the design of a new security organisational structure for major service organizations, including financial institutions.
Marc has held a number of speaking engagements on various IT subjects from eCommerce and application reviews, to Privacy, intrusion testing, laptop security, information classification and most recently how to integrate IT into SOX 404 projects.
Marc is a CA specialized in IT, a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and has a BBA from HEC Montréal. He has completed ISACA and IIA international training programs related to IT Risk Management and Internet Security.
