Finance, Accountancy and IFRS

Our team of managers with experience in preparing and auditing IFRS financial statements, and in IFRS training, is led by Juraj Tučný, Partner at PwC. Juraj has been a member of the group of experts within the PwC global network specialising in providing IFRS advice for many years. Juraj spent several years working in PwC London and PwC Moscow in accounting advisory and IFRS consulting services.

Alexandra Sviteková has been a lecturer at the Academy since 2010. She currently teaches several papers in the ACCA and FIA qualifications and is a content designer for the IFRS Academy study program in the Slovak language. As a member of ACCA and SKAU, she has many years of working experience in the finance industry as PwC's Assurance Manager.

Katarína Somogyiová has a vast experience in managing audit engagements of various Slovak and international companies as Assurance Director. She is ACCA qualified and statutory auditor. Moreover, she was coordinating and training teams in areas such as IFRS, IPSAS or audit methodologies. She is currently delivering lectures for IFRS Academy, ACCA – papers F1, F3, F7 and P2, FIA –  papers  FA1, FA2, F3. She is also teaching FIA at The University of Economics in Bratislava.

Juraj Kello is FCCA qualified, has experience in wide range of industries: manufacturing, energy and services. He previously worked as a senior manager in the Audit and Assurance department of Big4 company in Slovakia and Australia. Juraj is a Slovak licensed statutory auditor with his own practice and also has a long term experience in providing trainings in the area of IFRS, audit, management accounting and financial management topics

Robert Srnka is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and internationally licensed trainer in PM. He is an experienced tutor with over 20 years of experience in managing a wide variety of projects including IT implementations, BPR and audits. He delivers professional and other management skills training in CEE and EU countries.

Management skills and mini MBA

Spyros Kottoris is a highly experienced international, bilingual Learning & Development professional operating in the professional training and consulting industry as a business, HR and learning & development expert for more than 18 years. He operates as a Senior Learning & Development Advisor for Europe and the Middle East and an ICF Certified Executive Coach. He is specialized in Corporate Governance, Business Strategy, Business Ethics, AML and Sustainable Development-ESG. Spyros is a Member of the Economic Chamber of Greece and an Associate Member of the International Compliance Association (ICA).

Miro Smolović has over 20 years of experience in providing services to corporate, private and non-governmental sectors and is an internationally licensed project management trainer. He has worked extensively in the emerging markets of the CEE, where he has gained a reputation for the quality of his management, organization and leadership of international, inter-disciplinary project teams in private sector and donor-funded development projects. He delivers project management and other management skills training in Central and Eastern Europe and EU countries.

Lazar Džamić is a former Head of Brand Planning for Google's creative think tank ZOO in London, where he created the strategy team and brought in two of the world’s first creative data scientists. His mission at Google was to ‘turn light into heat’: transforming vast amounts of Google data into deep insights for creating great brand stories. He has also worked as strategy director at several London creative agencies and was one of the first digital strategists in the UK. He is a regular speaker at global and regional conferences on digital marketing and brand storytelling.

Tim Kemp is a respected designer and facilitator of effective learning events and has written extensively on team working, HR issues and leadership. He has developed a range of management learning simulations and web-based seminars for clients across the EMEA and in the US. Tim is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Member of the European Coaching and Mentoring Council and a Visiting Fellow at Bristol Business School.

Project Management

Tax Academy and ADIT

James Ryan AITI, CTA, ADIT, BA (Hons.) is a Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Irish Tax Institute. He also holds the specialised Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK). His background in financial services combined with his tax expertise gives him a holistic understanding of the interchange between finance planning and tax.

Jan Skorka

Ján Skorka is a director in the tax department of PwC and currently leads a team specializing in indirect taxes. He has more than eighteen years of experience in the tax field. He is a licensed tax advisor and a member of the methodological-legislative commission for VAT. It focuses on the financial, real estate, automotive and manufacturing sectors. For these clients, he managed many projects focused on shops in the row, calculation of the coefficient for proportional tax deduction, adjustment of deducted tax for investment property and the application of VAT exemption.

Branislav Toman is a manager in the Tax&Legal department of PwC. He specializes in corporate income tax, and advises on domestic and cross-border transactions, acquisitions, tax due diligence, and provides assistance with tax returns for Slovak companies and permanent establishments.

Alexandra Hlobenová is a manager in the Tax&Legal department of PwC, where she has been working since 2012. She graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of Taxation and Tax Consulting. Alexandra specializes in VAT advice and VAT reporting. She also participates in various projects for Slovak and international clients, including VAT checks and VAT controls.

Lenka Kollárová is a certified tax advisor and is registered with the Slovak Chamber of Tax Advisors. She has been working in the VAT department of PwC since 2008. She has also worked in the Office of Financial Administration as a tax controller. She has worked on a number of VAT consulting and planning projects, and provided advice on VAT reporting and tax audits for Slovak and international clients from various industries.

Simona Žatková is a senior consultant in the tax department of PwC, where she has been working since 2014. She specializes in corporate income tax, international taxation, and mergers and acquisitions. She also participates in various projects for Slovak and international clients providing tax due diligence services and advice on domestic and cross-border transactions.

Jakub Dvorský is a senior consultant in the Tax&Legal department of PwC. He specializes in corporate income tax, business combination taxation and international tax structuring.

HR qualifications, CIPD and soft skills

Vanda Šinková has an extensive experience in HR management. Currently she is the leader of CIPD Centre of Excellence for the PwC Academies in CEE, and is delivering CIPD qualifications in several CEE countries. In her HR leader role, Vanda has been responsible for the overall HR management agenda, as well as for the strategic HR and change management, organisational and talent development.

Olívia Hurbanová has been awarded the Tutor of the Year award. She focuses on the application of behavioural sciences to business, communication and education. Olívia also utilizes knowledge from neurobiology and evolutionary biology. CIPD Masterclass is based on CIPD’s research on the application of neuroscience to the HR environment. The training also uses virtual reality, which allows participants to feel and realize the imperfections of thinking and teaches how to change established decision-making patterns.

Dominika Laššáková

Dominika Laššáková has more than 10 years of experience in the field of human resources. For the past 5 years at PwC Slovakia, he has been primarily dedicated to the education and development of employees. In addition, he collaborates on various internal projects focused on employee satisfaction, corporate culture, diversity and inclusion. She successfully completed the CIPD Certificate in HR Practice study program. He has extensive experience with training both for internal employees and top management, and for external clients. As part of the PwC Academy programs, it has already trained more than 250 participants.

Ján Uriga

Ján Uriga is an expert in the field of strategic change management, in the field of corporate culture transformation programs, leadership and talent development, in the field of customer engagement and innovation management. In these areas, he has experience with dozens of projects in important companies. He lectured Leadership and Change management in the International Automotive MBA program in cooperation with the University of Vienna. He also taught at the Human Resource Academy at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences in Bratislava.

Katarina Linczenyiova is the founder of LIA Institute, Mentor of stress management and mental resilience, Executive coach, Tutor and Consultant of corporate well-being. She works mainly with HR, LD and executives. She is also a former professional athlete in the extreme sport of Freediving.  She reached the depth of eighty-five metres on a single breath of air, which ranked her the third deepest female dive with monofin in the world in 2013. She shares her experiences with performing under the pressure and ‘out of comfort zone’ during sport events with her clients. Katarina addresses the topic of stress as a guest speaker at various international events, to name just a few; TEDx, CEO Forum, Executive Summit. Katarina gives lectures regularly in countries in the EU, but she presented also in Australia and the USA. She gained her education at different institutions including Oxford. In 2021, Katarina was nominated by ‘Social Awards Slovakia’ among 15 most influential personalities in the category Public health. Katarina created a curriculum of several educational programs as well as her own method of stress relief (Lincz Method ).

Ján Dubnička is an excellent speaker and motivator, whose whole professional life has been accompanied by communication. Interpersonal communication, based on knowledge about the brain, has become his passion and profession. He is a communication strategist and an internationally certified coach. He focuses on communication intelligence and conscious communication, changing the culture in companies, developing leaders and teams. He is the author of two books: Create the life you desire and It just takes courage.

Lucia Glasová

Lucia Glasová is a manager at PwC in the human resources services department. Holder of international Assoc CIPD certification. He specializes in the coordination and implementation of projects from the social field of ESG, including support for education, reporting in the field and creating an I&D strategy.

Eva Zavacka

Eva Zavacka is a psychologist with more than 17 years of experience in HR and leadership development. She worked in several leading positions in different countries of the world. For many years, he has devoted himself to the receptive state of mind (mindfulness) and experiencing the present moment.

Shaolin courses

Shi Heng Yi started at the age of four to practice and train his skills and abilities in the arts of Shaolin. His key strength is the ability to combine knowledge with practical daily exercise in order to support people in the modern society. It is his ultimate goal to provide traditional techniques, that are easy to understand and useful in daily routine.

Shi Heng Zong has been studying Buddhism for over 20 years. It is his great ability to find the suiting key to solve common and individual problems and to provide techniques derived from Buddhist and Shaolin knowledge. He has great experience and teaching skills in dealing with people and their emotions and daily problems.
