According to the 15th edition of the Slovak CEO survey, leaders in Slovakia consider the biggest threats in the next 12 months to be the lack of workers with key skills, which dominates the ranking, followed by geopolitical conflicts. In third place are cyber threats, which remain the most significant operational risk and a permanent part of company leadership agendas. Although each of these risks can have serious consequences, their interconnection increases complexity and the impact on business.

61% of organizations expect an increase in their cybersecurity budget and 66% of Slovak CEOs are aware that if their company does not accelerate the pace of reinvention, there is a risk of becoming non-viable within ten years. 54% of CEOs plan to increase investments in managing cyber risks, and a positive trend is that 58% of Slovak organizations are investing more in prevention than in dealing with the consequences of incidents. The biggest obstacle to using AI in cybersecurity remains the lack of relevant skills (40%). These findings confirm that digital transformation and innovation are essential for the future resilience of Slovak companies.
