We believe the development of regulation for healthcare should have four key interdependent objectives:
At PwC, we successfully work with our healthcare clients to develop:
We also work with providers who look to effectively function within the regulatory framework in which they operate.
We work with both national and local organisations to develop form, function, operating procedures, regulatory standards and enforcement frameworks. We do this through understanding your unique position, internal and external pressures, international best practice and the regional context.
We can assist in the development of policies relating to regulatory frameworks. This can include helping to devise and implement assessment, audit, accounting, turnaround, intervention, planning, economics/payment frameworks and quality policies.
Organisations can face upheaval due to political pressure or the changing needs of the populations they serve. In times of crisis we will work in partnership with you to refine policy based on market trends, crisis points and political change, and seek resolutions whilst maintaining effective regulation to allow for continuation of safe and cost effective care.
Providing value and high quality care can be challenging for providers if subjected to constant and / or unexpected changes in the regulatory regime which they must adhere to. We work with providers to develop their day to day operating procedures, business processes and required response to any changes, around the framework they operate in.
