On October 27, 2017, the Court of Queen’s Bench In Bankruptcy, Winnipeg Centre (the “Court”) issued an order appointing PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., LIT (“PwC”) as interim receiver (the “Interim Receiver”), without security, over certain Property (as defined in Schedule 1 to the order) of R. Litz & Sons Company Limited (“R.Litz” or the “Company”), pursuant to section 47.1 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) the  (“BIA”) and section 55 of the Court of Queen's Bench Act.

Status of the file as of November 27, 2017

On November 21, 2017, the Court issued an order extending the order for the Mareva Injunction until further order of the Court.

Status of the file as of November 6, 2017

On November 6, 2017, the Company filed a motion with the Court to, among other things, extend the order for the Mareva Injunction until further order of the Court.

The motion was heard on November 21, 2017.

Status of the file as of November 3, 2017

On November 3, 2017, the Court issued an order extending the order for the Mareva Injunction to November 21, 2017.

Status of the file as of October 31, 2017

On October 31, 2017, the Company filed a motion with the Court to, among other things, extend the order for Mareva Injunction to November 16, 2017.

The motion was heard on November 3, 2017.

Status of the file as of October 27, 2017

On October 27, 2017, the Court issued a Mareva Injunction against Peter Ramdath as a result of concerns that assets were being dissipated.

On the same day, the Court issued an order appointing PwC as Interim Receiver, without security, over certain property of R. Litz & Sons Company Limited, pursuant to section 47.1 of the BIA and section 55 of the Court of Queen's Bench Act. 

Status of the file as of October 26, 2017

On October 26, 2017, the R. Litz filed a motion with the Court for an order to appoint PwC as Interim Receiver of the Property (as defined in Schedule “A” to the Motion) of the Company.

The Motion was heard on October 27, 2017.
