Denise Cheung

Denise Cheung, FCIA FCAS, is a Director in PwC Canada’s Actuarial Services. She is based out of the Toronto office.
Denise joined PwC in Oct 2019. She is an experienced actuary and statistician with over fifteen years of P&C experience within the Canadian actuarial and insurance industry. Currently, she is the Appointed Actuary to several Canadian insurance entities. She is the actuarial specialist on audit assignments for several accounts and is also involved in IFRS 17 developments and assessments.
Prior to joining PwC, Denise has experience in pricing of insurance products, predictive and stochastic modeling, policy liability valuation, and capital modeling. She worked in various areas of insurance companies and brokerage, including actuarial science, research and development, risk assessment, alternative risk transfer solutions, system implementation, project management, and change management. She gained a deep understanding of the insurance companies’ business model and market trends in Canada through her experience as a practitioner and consultant.
