This term refers to the reduction of GHG emissions. Net zero means that the total sum of positive and negative GHG emissions is zero. If a company has net zero emissions, it means that any positive emissions (i.e. emissions the company releases into the atmosphere) are offset by negative emissions (i.e. emissions the company removes from the atmosphere) by offsets or carbon capture.
