The Middle East has the least demanding tax system, but new data highlights post–filing challenges, says PwC

The Middle East region has the least demanding tax system, ranking consistently below the world average according to the latest edition of Paying Taxes 2017, a report by PwC and The World Bank Group. This year the Middle East region has both the lowest average Total Tax Rate and the lowest average time to comply of all the regions.

PwC appoints Sally Jeffery as the new Education Global Leader

IPO market remains subdued in the GCC with no activity in Q3 2016 reflecting global and regional uncertainty

The third quarter (“Q3”) of 2016 saw no IPO activity across the Gulf Cooperation Council (“GCC”) markets, thus reflecting the most depressed IPO market conditions since Q3 2015. PwC: Middle East Faces Lag in Talent Management

PwC Middle East revealed findings of its first ever talent management survey, ‘Strategy, Talent and Leadership’, which assesses the various challenges that human resources (HR) professionals face in the region. Having polled 248 Chief Human Resources Officers (CHRO) across the Middle East, PwC found that only a few companies in the region have a strategic link between their business objectives and HR management practise.
