11 May 2023 - Cairo, Egypt: Today, PwC inaugurated its Egypt Technology and Innovation Centre (ETIC), a state-of-the-art technology hub that brings together the professional services firm’s collective industry expertise and digital capabilities to innovate, build, and deploy digital business solutions. The centre comes as a testament to PwC’s commitment in accelerating transformation in businesses, developing local talent. ETIC is the firm's newest link in the delivery and managed services supply chain in the Middle East.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including H.E British Ambassador to Egypt Mr. Gareth Bayley OBE, Mr. Alexis Below, Head of Economic Development in the German Embassy, senior partners and industry leaders from the Middle East, UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

With 66% of the region’s CEOs expecting to deploy cloud technology, artificial intelligence, and other advanced technology in operations, according to the 26th CEO Survey, improving workforce skills is a critical component of this transformation. The new tech hub builds on PwC’s existing digital capabilities and offers various opportunities to Egypt’s workforce enabling the firm to achieve its purpose of driving new ways of delivering digital transformation with the right skills and technologies.

Last year, PwC formed a strategic agreement with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) – the executive IT arm of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Egypt - to reinforce the firm’s continuous investment in its capabilities and align with the firm’s vision of expanding across the region, generally and in Egypt specifically.
