Jochem Rossel is the Middle East Tax & Legal Services Leader at PwC and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. He leads a regional practice of more than 1,200 professionals across 12 territories, supporting organisations and governments on tax, legal, regulatory and strategic business matters.
Working with organisations and governments across the region, Jochem helps clients navigate increasingly complex tax, legal and regulatory matters while supporting long-term growth and cross-border investment.
With more than 24 years of international tax and transactions experience, Jochem specialises in mergers and acquisitions, international tax structuring, cross-border investments, sovereign investment funds, alternative asset managers and large multinational groups.
Since joining PwC Middle East in 2008 from PwC New York, Jochem has played a key role in the growth of the firm's regional Tax & Legal Services practice, including the development and scaling of specialist tax capabilities. He has also led major tax reform and implementation programmes across the GCC, supporting governments in designing and implementing new tax regimes, incentives and policy frameworks.
Jochem has been a PwC partner since 2013. He previously served as the M&A and International Tax Business Unit Leader and Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East Tax & Legal Services practice.
