Aysha joined PwC Middle East’s Tax & Legal Services graduate program in Dubai, UAE in September 2021, and has since become a Legal Associate. Coming out of university, Aysha aspired to work in a leading international professional services firm as she believes that “joining PwC at the start of my journey is the ideal stepping-stone and solid foundation that I need to further excel in my career.”
In a typical day in her role as a Legal Associate, Aysha carries out all sorts of tasks such as doing due diligence on clients, drafting legal documents, reports and presentations, as well as conducting client workshops and calls.
One of Aysha’s favourite things about the graduate programme at PwC Middle East is that she has the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of work, and work on globally renowned brands and projects. “PwC provided me with the opportunity to rotate in various departments under the legal umbrella with the support of obtaining a legal qualification. I was also able and encouraged to broaden my horizons outside of my designated field and explore various projects by working with different lines of service.”
Speaking about the application process, Aysha had to go through multiple steps before securing her graduate role. Applying to PwC consists of preparing yourself for rigorous assessments and several interviews. On her opinion of the application process, Aysha stated that “The aptitude test challenged my knowledge on a wide range of subjects and gave me a glimpse on the breadth of knowledge that I would be exposed to at PwC. My advice to PwC applicants is that they should be able to capitalise on their strengths throughout the testing process and should develop and improve on their weaknesses beforehand.”
