Marin Ivezic

Partner, Cybersecurity & Privacy, PwC Canada

Marin Ivezic is a Cybersecurity & Privacy, and Enterprise Resilience partner at PwC and is based out of the Toronto office. He started his career in law enforcement and moved to focus on cyber-kinetic attacks—cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, cyber-physical systems (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT), industrial control systems (ICS), robotics, connected and autonomous transportation, smart cities, smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0—that threaten people’s physical well-being, lives or the environment. Through his experience and expertise, he brings together cybersecurity, safety and resilience disciplines to help businesses and communities overcome these threats.

As a partner with PwC, Marin works with a team of cybersecurity professionals who provide a full range of cybersecurity, IoT security, ICS/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) security and data protection services across the whole lifecycle—from assessment, strategy and design to implementation and operation.

Marin has led incident response efforts for over 150 major cyber and security incidents in over 40 countries. Through this experience, he came to appreciate that prevention is not enough, so he became one of PwC’s Urban Resilience leaders and a lead for PwC Enterprise Resilience services—which include business continuity management, incident management, crisis management and exercises, disaster recovery management and emergency management services.

Marin is a member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network, Fellow of Information Privacy, Chairman of the Cyber-Physical Systems Security Institute (CPSSI), and a published author.
