Tara McCarville

Partner, National Health Industries Lead, PwC Canada

Tara is the Risk Assurance leader of PwC’s National Health Industries Practice in Canada. Tara is accountable for understanding the national and international health care market, developing health industry thought leadership and providing PwC's services to support client needs.

A seasoned operations executive, Tara is known for creating winning strategies and driving change in complex organizations. With a professional background in health care, information technology, management consulting and telecommunications, Tara has over 15 years of experience providing senior leadership in the private, public and not for profit sectors. She has played key roles in several transformational initiatives focused on reducing risk and improving quality.

Tara spent several years as an executive leader in one of the largest health systems in Canada.  She has extensive experience with clinical change management, health information technology, quality assurance and patient experience. 

She is a former instructor on Health care Technology for Masters Certificate in Health care Management at both Carleton University and York University.  Tara is a Certified Health Executive (CHE), a Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a certificate in Clinical Risk, Negligence & Claims Management in Health Care from Osgoode Hall.  Tara has also completed the NFP Essentials Program at the Institute for Corporate Directors at Rotman School of Management.
