Sunil Rajan

Sunil Rajan is a partner with the Consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Vancouver. Prior to joining PwC Vancouver in 2004, Sunil was the internal audit manager for a major oil company’s operating unit in India. With a career spanning over sixteen years, Sunil has led and managed numerous governance, risk and compliance assignments in Canada, the Middle East, India and South East Asia in a variety of industries, including: consumer, industrial products and services, technology, forestry, energy and utility, mining, life sciences and financial services.

Sunil has significant internal audit experience leading and overseeing a number of PwC’s largest outsourced and co-sourced internal audit engagements, which included risk assessments, strategic assessment and re-engineering of internal audit functions, investigations, developing of internal audit manuals, assurance maps and conducting training for clients on internal audit methodologies, and practices.

Sunil is the Canadian knowledge champion and western regional lead for project assurance and pre-and post-implementation reviews. He has a key role in developing and maintaining PwC’s global methodologies, tools and templates for performing project, system implementations and IT controls assurance. Sunil also has significant experience in performing business and information technology controls design, implementation/optimization, audit/security analysis of ERP/Application systems in complex technical environments. Sunil has also assisted various clients in addressing a range of issues related to compliance risk management initiatives, including privacy.

Sunil is an experienced facilitator/trainer and a member of PwC’s global methodology training team. He has led numerous internal and external training programs for staff, clients and professional associations such as the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) chapters in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.

Sunil is an active participant in his community and the captain of his cricket team. He is also the past Treasurer of the IIA chapter in Vancouver.
