Sean Wilson is a partner in the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Tax practice, working in the Vancouver office.
Sean provides knowledge based guidance and advice to assist his clients with all varieties of personal and corporate tax matters, including advising public and private corporations in all matters relating to taxation.
In his 13 years of tax experience Sean has worked with a broad range of clients from large, multinational, public corporations to individuals and smaller privately held companies, advising them on all areas of taxation including: compliance, group structure planning, acquisition and disposition strategies, restructuring, outbound planning, and advising on non-resident inbound planning. He has industry experience in real estate, consumer and industrial products and services, forestry, and mining. Sean works closely with the Mergers and Acquisitions team, advising on the implementation of reorganization strategies and solutions.
Sean started with the firm as a summer student in 1991 and joined as a full-time employee in 1992. In 2006 he left to take a position as Chief Financial Officer of a shipping container company, but rejoined PwC 18 months later.
Sean graduated with a BCom (Accounting) from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver in 1992, earned his CA designation in 1995, and completed the CICA In-Depth Tax program in 1999. He’s currently a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation. In addition, Sean dedicates his time to lecture at several internal and external PwC and non-PwC presentations and courses including, The PwC North American School of Mines in Phoenix, Arizona and the 2009 Canadian Tax Foundation BC Tax Conference. In his spare time he has also tutored at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course.
