Nochane Rousseau is the Vice-Chair and Managing Partner, Quebec & Eastern Canada Region for PwC Canada. In addition to heading the Quebec Leadership Team, he is a member of the firm's Canadian Extended Leadership Team.

With over 25 years of experience as a trusted business advisor, he has worked with a wide range of private and public companies over the course of his career, including a number of the firm's largest clients. He provides guidance in the areas of accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, advisory, tax and finance.

As a market-focused leader, Nochane has forged and maintained solid relationships with industry stakeholders and influencers across Quebec. He is a recognized natural resources expert, with special expertise in the mining sector. In Quebec, he headed the firm's Mining Industry Group from 2006 to 2018 and its Energy, Utilities, Mining, Metals and Industrial Products (EUMI) group from 2013 to 2018. The governments and the media regularly seek out his views and analytical skills, drawing on his cutting-edge industry knowledge and his ability to explain complex issues to non-specialists.

Nochane has led numerous audits involving mining and forestry companies, including international engagements, in compliance with strict financial reporting requirements. He has in-depth knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles, international financial reporting standards, accounting standards for private companies and financial reporting rules for Canadian and U.S. listed companies. He has also taken part in engagements involving the preparation of offering documents, the application of National Instrument 52-109 and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and due diligence reviews involving mergers and acquisitions. In addition to mining clients, Nochane works with multinational industrial manufacturers, including aerospace & transportation companies, as well as retail, engineering & construction, utilities and energy industry organizations.

Nochane holds an honours bachelor’s degree in business administration and an advanced studies diploma in accounting with honours from Laval University. He obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) in 1999 and his Fellow title (FCPA) in 2020.

Deeply committed to his community, Nochane is involved with the Canadian Club of Montreal, where his responsibilities include serving as Vice-president of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
