Matthew is a Partner in the Calgary office of PwC in the Mergers and Acquisitions Tax services group. His clients range from privately held companies to multi-national public corporations. Matthew routinely works on outbound and inbound international M&A transactions with his clients and member firms of the PwC network.
Matthew provides both buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence services and also works on a variety of tax planning engagements, including acquisition structuring, corporate reorganizations, loss utilization planning, repatriation strategies, tax modeling, and entity rationalization projects. Matthew assists clients in various industries including renewable energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, oil and gas, technology/software, private equity, agriculture, and real estate.
Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo (2016), and is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). Matthew facilities CPA Canada’s In-depth Tax Program and In-depth Corporate Reorganizations course.
