Jake Dwhytie is a Partner in PwC's Toronto office, specializing in business valuation, economic analysis, and litigation consulting. With more than 15 years of experience advising clients, Jake is frequently retained to provide independent expert witness reports for complex commercial, securities, and shareholder disputes, as well as other high-stakes economic and financial matters. He has been qualified as an expert witness in loss quantification and economic and financial analysis and has provided testimony in courts and before other triers of fact.
Jake’s experience spans a wide range of industries and dispute types, including quantifying losses in cases involving financial institutions, pharmaceutical manufacturers, technology firms, and mining companies. He has also provided expert evidence in class actions and has valued intellectual property and business interests for both transactional and litigation purposes.
Jake holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Victoria. He is a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has presented at industry conferences and legal education seminars on topics such as business valuation, loss quantification, and the use of statistics in class actions.
