Eóin (an Irish name - pronounced “Owen”) joins PwC with over 30 years experience in the Energy & Utilities sector in Canada, United States, Europe, Japan and the Middle-east. He has worked across electricity, gas, water, wastewater and telecoms. His recent areas of focus have been Energy Transition and Security.

In terms of Energy Transition Eóin: started with Hydrogen Fuel cells/PV development in Finland in late 1980s; operated bio-fuel generation plant; program managed a $3 billion Hydropower capital program, and led $4 billion of electricity transmission capital projects in Alberta to support wind and solar resources.

More recently in the world of security, Eóin was Vice President, Security and Information Services at AltaLink / Berkshire Hathaway Energy (BHE) Canada where he was responsible for cyber, physical, information security and emergency response across the IT and Operating Technology environments. He was accountable for the overall IT lifecycle, and has been a regulatory witness for general rate tariff and new facility applications.

From an industry perspective, Eóin was the Canadian representative on NERC’s Electricity Information Sharing Analysis Center (E-ISAC) Member Executive Committee, a member of the US DoE Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council, BHE lead in the US for OT security threat analysis, and has lead training exercises for the RCMP Integrated National Security Team on critical infrastructure attacks.

Eóin is Board Member of the Safety Codes Council of Alberta, and chair of their Audit and Risk Committee. He is former board member of United Utilities Electricity PLC, and the Energy Networks Association in the UK. Eóin is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, and a graduate of the Wharton School of Business AMP program. He has ICD.D director designation in Canada.

Eóin is married with three expensive children at University in Canada and Ireland. He loves learning languages and soccer.
