Duncan Nicholas is a partner with the Consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Calgary office and the SAP practice leader. He is also part of the Performance Improvement team.

Duncan has 25 years of experience working in the areas of systems implementation and performance improvement, and has spent the last 15 years consulting in the Energy and Utilities sector. He uses Enterprise Resource Planning tools to help his clients design and implement standard processes into their organizations, which leads to improved management and performance for their business.

Duncan works collaboratively with his clients to develop a project plan with business goals in mind and delivers on this plan considering the three operational aspects of people, process and technology. He brings a practical approach using lessons he has learned through leading more than 20 Systems Application Programming (SAP) projects in the Energy and Utilities sector.

Duncan obtained a Higher National Diploma from Northumbria University in 1983 and is also a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in the UK. Prior to his career at PwC, he worked in industry for 10 years and held senior accounting and project management positions for global organizations. He joined our firm in 1996, left in 1999, and returned in 2009. He has authored numerous internal best practice position papers around SAP implementation and our Consulting In Brief publication “Unlocking the potential of SAP”.
