GTA Managing Partner, PwC Canada
Diane Kazarian is the Managing Partner for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and is a member of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT) at PwC Canada (PwC). Diane is the firm’s first female GTA Managing Partner, leading PwC’s largest Canadian market, managing more than 3,500 professionals and 300 partners, across all key industries. Diane also continues her role as the Global Financial Services Brand and People Leader.
With more than 30 years of experience in the professional services industry, Diane has been recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA) of Ontario. This is the highest distinction conferred by Order of CPA Ontario for individuals with exceptional achievements in their careers and the community. Diane is also a recipient of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 award presented by the Women’s Executive Network’s (WXN).
Diane is the co-sponsor of PwC’s award-winning Women in Leadership (WiL) program and also serves as PwC Chair at United Way (GTA). She is one of the founding partners of #movethedial, an organization committed to advancing women in technology and is also a member of the Steering Committee at the Financial Institution Forum. Diane sits on the Board of Bryant University and Kingsway College School, Ontario Brain Institute and St. Joseph's Health Foundation.
Diane is a sought-after speaker and is an active participant and advocate of women’s career advancement as well as diversity and inclusion. She speaks at a variety of key market conferences and events and is frequently approached by the media to provide insights on topics such as innovation, upskilling, emerging technologies, women in leadership, diversity and inclusion, fintech, blockchain and more.
In her previous role as the National Financial Services Leader, Diane was responsible for the banking and capital markets, asset management, insurance, real estate and private equity sectors across all lines of business (audit, tax and advisory). With her extensive experience in the banking sector, Diane also specializes in the development and monitoring of legal and reputational risk policies, procedures and processes, regulatory compliance and credit risk management processes, IFRS, US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
Diane has a BSc in Business Administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island (Summa Cum Laude). She is a CA and CPA, and is fluent in Armenian.
