Dean Landry

National Tax Leader, PwC Canada

Dean is PwC Canada’s National Tax Leader. He combines his tax expertise with a strong understanding of the business and economic environment to help clients navigate business issues.

For more than 25 years, Dean has helped clients with emigration planning, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, capital structure, international assignment services, and general tax planning. He specializes in advising large consumer and industrial product companies.

Prior to his current role, Dean was the National Tax Markets Leader and Tax Leader of PwC Canada’s Greater Toronto Area and Central Region. He also led PwC Canada’s Atlantic region tax practice and spent several years providing tax services from Saint John and Halifax.

Between 1997 and 1999 Dean was a Tax Director in industry, which uniquely positions him to evaluate clients issues and needs from both sides of the table.

Active in his community, Dean is is a member of the Major Individual Giving Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Toronto, a former governor at Junior Achievement of Ontario, past president of Ashburn Golf Club and former finance committee member of Bayview Golf and Country Club. He is a frequent public speaker and publishes articles for various organizations and publications.

Dean has an MBA from Dalhousie University and is a trained CPA and Certified Financial Planner. He joined PwC in 1993 and was admitted to partnership in 2003.
