Ben Yee

Ben is a Managing Director in the Data and AI practice at PwC Canada. He is a CPA and holds an MBA and has been in consulting for over 14 years. He now helps lead the PwC Data and AI offerings in the Eastern region of Canada and is also one of the main points of contact for data and AI topics for the Energy, Utilities and Resources industry. He is passionate about creating value through data and leveraging AI to solve business problems.

Prior to being in the data and AI space, he first started in the Finance Transformation team, advising CFOs and their teams on how to optimize their functions. Through his journey, he’s had the chance to advise on strategies and vision as well as implement complex financial and ERP systems, which provided him with a holistic perspective to approaching client issues.

He is now in the Data and AI field helping organizations develop strategies and solutions in data and AI. Since joining this team, he has assisted clients in numerous projects to leverage emerging technologies and modernize their ways of working to become increasingly data-driven. 

Ben excels at helping clients define their strategies, operating models and actionable and tactical roadmaps for emerging technologies and data modernization. He has spent the better part of the last decade doing so for various industries, but has had a focus on data management and AI in the utilities sector.

As the Eastern Canada regional lead and sponsor for the Association of East and South East Asians (AESEA) network at PwC, he actively champions Asian diversity and inclusion across our offices. In this role, he collaborates with local and national AESEA teams to organize flagship events, career development initiatives, and mentorship programs that empower Asian professionals and allies.

Outside of work, he is the father of two children that couldn’t be more different. While one is calm and analytical, the other is a ball of energy, always ready for action. In his downtime, Ben enjoys playing badminton and has found a new passion in running.
