Director, Technology, Strategy and Transformation for Utilities, PwC Canada
Swapnanil (also known as Swap) is a Director in PwC’s Energy & Utilities consulting practice and one of the firm’s key technology engagement leads for the Utility industry. He is a seasoned TOGAF certified Enterprise Architect (EA) and is passionate about architecture & technology.
Swap has over 23 years of experience in leading complex transformation initiatives for utility customers in Canada, USA & UK. His areas of expertise include a diverse domain spanning Customer Experience, Customer Information & Billing, AMI and Meter Data Management, Work and Asset Management and Field Mobility. He has been instrumental in aiding utility customers by developing business-enabled technology strategies, implementing fit-for-purpose solutions, and driving business function transformations through both proven and emerging technologies.
Before his tenure at PwC, Swap served as the Director of Enterprise Architecture at London Hydro. In this role, he provided pivotal architectural guidance to deliver strategic business drivers and capabilities, propelling the Digital Utility vision forward. He also led London Hydro’s CIS Refresh (SAP S/4 HANA Re-implementation), where he developed the business case, secured funding, and collaborated with vendors to execute this critical transformation program.
During his tenure as the Industry Architect at TCS Utility Center of Excellence, he has led the architecture functions to devise and steer industry solution development. He has been at the forefront of multiple architecture consulting and large-scale transformation engagements, covering a wide array of domains including customer experience, CIS modernization, mobile workforce management, enterprise asset management, technology modernization strategy, and data & analytics strategy to name a few.
His extensive experience with electricity and natural gas utilities has established him as a trusted advisor in enterprise architecture and strategy consulting services.
