Sulay is an International Tax and M&A Partner for PwC Canada. After working with PwC US for over 15 years, Sulay moved to the Canadian firm with a focus on providing global expertise to clients in the Private Equity, Pension Funds and broader Asset Management practice.
As an International Tax and M&A Partner, Sulay advises clients on the planning and implementation of holding and operational structures for a diverse range of products and functions including Private Equity, Real Estate, Credit, Pensions and Sovereign Funds, Family Offices, Fund Managers, and Portfolio companies.
As the Global relationship Partner, Sulay provides a local point of contact for his clients and collaborates with PwC’s global firm-wide leadership.
Prior to relocating to Canada, Sulay lived and worked in New York, London, Dubai, Hong Kong, and New Delhi, building robust teams to serve clients regionally on complex cross border mergers and acquisitions, fund structuring, and diligence.
Sulay has also served as a member of the Global Advisory Board of New York University’s SHACK Institute of Real Estate and as a visiting faculty for the graduate program on taxation of real estate transactions (US and International Tax).
As an industry thought leader, Sulay frequently contributes to technical publications and speaks at international Private Equity and Real Estate conferences.
