Steven is our Canadian Management System service leader and brings over 27 years of hands-on experience reviewing and assessing an organization's environment, health and safety, and social responsibility programs in the context of ESG performance, risk management and multiple international standards.
Steven is also responsible for the development, implementation, quality and compliance requirements associated with the policies and procedures to provide ESG management system Certification services within PwC.
His career has provided him with the opportunity and experience to gain insights and assist clients with global leading risk-based methodologies e.g. Bowtie, HEMP, ALARP, incident management practices among others.
Steven has worked with national and international clients in high hazard industries that include oil and gas, chemical, mining, air and rail passenger transportation and the utility sector including non-for-profit, federal, provincial and municipal government. Steven’s is also responsible for and leads a number of engagements working with his team to provide non-financial assurance under ISAE 3000 on qualitative and quantitative data set out in International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) principals, The Mining Association of Canada’s (MAC) ‘Towards Sustainable Mining’ (TSM) protocols, The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) trade association criteria and the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) requirements among others. Steven is a lead environment, health and safety auditor.
