Steven Malette is a Partner in the Deals practice of PwC Canada working in the Ottawa office. Steven joined the firm in 1995 and since that date has practiced in the firm’s Advisory Services.
Steven is the Ottawa office practice lead for the Forensic Services and Corporate Advisory Services. Steven is a Certified General Accountant (CGA, 1994), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE, 2008), a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP, 1998), and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (2002).
For more than 19 years, Steven has specialized in the areas of forensic investigations, forensic audits of contract costs, forensic audits of contribution agreements, stakeholder/shareholder conflicts, fraud awareness training, fraud risk assessments, receiverships, bankruptcies, financial reviews and monitoring. Such assignments have been completed on behalf of governments (Federal and Provincial), financial institutions, non-profit organizations, private sector companies, lawyers, and creditors.
Steven’s assignments are completed in a wide range of industries including government, construction, medical, property management, transportation, retail, manufacturing, high tech, aboriginal organizations, property management, not for profit and mining.
