Pierre Maillé is a partner in the Deals practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He heads the Dispute Analysis & Valuations group in the Montréal office.

Pierre has been involved in engagements consisting mainly in valuations, investment analyses and financing strategies for start-up companies, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions of businesses. He has also managed several business or security valuation engagements as well as business interruption and litigation support assignments.

Recent transactions:

  • Valuation of Dectron Internationale Inc. and Addenda Capital Inc. in the context of related party transactions (going private)
  • Purchase price allocation and asset impairment tests for several companies, including Addenda Capital Inc., Axcan Pharma Inc., Quebecor Media Inc., Industries Lassonde Inc., Quebecor World Inc. and Groupe Jean Coutu Inc.
  • Several damage quantification engagements and testimonies before the Superior Court of Canada

Since joining the firm in 1981, Pierre has been involved in and supervised a large number of financial advisory and business valuation assignments across several industries. Pierre has appeared as an expert witness on fifteen occasions before the Superior Court of Québec and Arbitration Tribunals.

Pierre graduated from McGill University, Montréal, QC, in 1978 with a BCom (Management information system and Finance). He obtained a MSc (Finance) from Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal in 1986. Pierre is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.
