Philip Heywood

Philip Heywood is a member of the Canadian Leadership Team and the National leader of PwC Canada’s Deals practice, an end-to-end transaction and value lifecycle business that encompasses M&A (Strategy, Corporate Finance, Due Diligence, Valuations, Value Creation and Real Assets and Infrastructure) and Crisis advice (Performance & Restructuring, Forensics Services, Financial Crime, Cyber and Crisis Response).

With more than 25 years of professional services experience, Philip is a trusted advisor to private equity firms, pension funds, and global corporations helping them navigate their most consequential transactions and transformations. He has advised on multi-billion-dollar cross-border deals and complex mid-market transactions across both public and private markets, with a track record spanning deals in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.

Prior to his current role, Philip held a series of senior leadership roles within the firm, including Deals Business Units leader, Deals Leader for the BC Region and the National Financial Services Deals Leader, while also maintaining an active and significant client portfolio.

Philip holds an Accounting and Finance Bachelor’s degree, with First Class Honours. He is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) and a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
