Michael advises large public companies on the financial reporting complexities associated with significant strategic transactions. With over 15 years of experience, he is a trusted advisor to organizations across Canada, particularly in the mining, industrial products, and technology sectors.
Michael brings a strong command of accounting standards and provides clear, practical guidance on complex transactions and reporting requirements. His expertise includes financial instruments, financing arrangements, revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, share-based compensation, and impairment assessments.
Michael has also led several transaction accounting advisory engagements, assisting clients in accounting for acquisitions or dispositions, participating in the financial due diligence process of potential target companies, and IPO readiness assessments.
Beyond his client work, Michael is actively engaged in the resources sector and the broader community. He serves on the Finance Committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver. Michael holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
