Mica Arlette

Mica Arlette is a partner in the PwC Deals practice based in Toronto, specializing in corporate advisory and restructuring. He’s a trusted advisor who works with organizations facing financial challenges to develop creative and successful solutions that preserve value and build futures.

Mica has more than 26 years of Deals experience working across North America, South America, the UK and Europe. He’s trusted by clients to provide robust analysis and timely insight into key operational improvement and financial restructuring issues. He works effectively with parties to review financial plans, identify options, deliver turnaround and reorganization plans.

Mica has extensive experience in cross-border and transnational restructuring and insolvency cases involving Canadian CCAA, receivership and bankruptcy proceedings, U.S. Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings and workouts, as well as supporting litigation of insolvency-related claims. He has represented companies, secured and unsecured creditors, and potential investors involved in distressed situations. His experience spans many industries including real estate, construction, manufacturing, pulp and paper, printing, retail, automotive, energy and telecommunications.

Mica has also advised clients on ways to reduce cost and improve value as part of operational transition, by performing strategic options analysis, cost quantification and analysis, and transition planning. He collaborates extensively with other professionals across PwC to advise clients on operational improvement opportunities, business reorganization, and tax structuring.

Mica is a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada and the Turnaround Management Association. He is recommended in Lexology Index as a restructuring and insolvency advisor.

Mica is also an adjunct lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Western University, and has been a guest speaker at the Ivey Business School at Western University and the Smiith School of Business at Queen’s University.
