Kate Furber
Vice-Chair and Managing Partner, BC Region, PwC Canada
Kate Furber is PwC Canada’s Vice-Chair and Managing Partner of the BC Region.
Prior to this she was the BC Region Assurance Leader. Kate has experience working with clients across a range of industries but specializes in working with clients in the consumer products, retail and technology sectors. Over the span of 30+ years at PwC, she has serviced both private and public clients providing broad assurance services including external audit, internal audit, controls advisory and non-financial assurance. Kate is also experienced in transaction work, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings and financings, and is familiar with both Canadian and US regulatory requirements.
Kate joined PwC UK in 1994 and transferred to the Vancouver office in 1999. Kate obtained her CA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1998 and from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 2004. She is recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants and became a Certified Internal Auditor in 2018.
