As partner in Strategy&, Kai is a senior leader in the Strategy consulting practice and the National Pension Fund Sector Leader for PwC in Canada. Over the past 20 years, Kai has advised a range of corporate and investor clients across Canada on a range of strategic and operational issues including investment management, commercial growth, advanced analytics, operational effectiveness, understanding policy reforms and the impacts of disruptive trends such as ESG, technology and regulation. In particular, Kai brings deep experience in both strategy development and the application of analytical techniques in private equity, asset management, insurance, healthcare and technology. Kai recently helped establish an international technology business focused on corporate wellness. Before that, he led a strategy practice at KPMG, assuming various Canadian and global roles. He was also previously a buy-side investment analyst with a global sovereign wealth fund.
Kai has significant international experience having worked on more than 100 strategic engagements in more than 15 countries. Kai holds Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Engineering with a focus on Management Science from University College London, U.K. He also holds a level 3 investment management certificate from CFA UK.
