Senior Vice President, PwC Canada
John Seigel is a senior vice president in the Deals practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office. He is part of the Dispute Analysis & Valuations group.
For over 25 years, John has practiced financial investigations in civil and criminal matters and as inspector under the Business Corporations Act. He has also conducted the measurement of damages, valuations of closely held business, purchase investigations, preparation/review of insurance claims, construction litigation and expropriation claims.
John has appeared as expert witness in valuations and with respect to business valutaions, damages and insurance clams in former Supreme Court of Ontario, Ontario Court-General Division, Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Municipal Board, and in a number of US jurisdictions.
John is a CA and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). He received both his BCom and MBA from the University of Toronto, ON. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, Institute of Management Consultants of Ontario, and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, (CBV).
John is also a certified with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) and as a specialist in Investigative and Forensic Accounting (IFA) by the CICA.
John is the co-author of Business Interruption Insurance, Second Edition (2006) and contributing author to Construction Litigation. He is an editor and contributor in the "Expert Column" of the Advocates' Brief, and is a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars.
