Ajay Patel is a Managing Director in PwC Canada’s Cybersecurity, Privacy and Financial Crime practice Canada. He has worked in cybersecurity for over 20 years and has held senior leadership positions, including CISO and VP Cybersecurity, at some of Canada’s largest utilities and critical infrastructure organizations.

Most recently, Ajay led the modernization of cybersecurity at a leading utilities and energy company, driving a transformation that went beyond technology to encompass organizational realignment and the adoption of a security‑first mindset and culture. He has deep expertise in integrating IT and OT security, building robust cyber, OT and IT risk functions, and leading engineering and operational teams across governance, risk and compliance, application security, cloud security, identity and access management, and advisory services.
