Joon Chan

Joon is the Technology Leader for PwC Calgary’s Assurance practice. He values a one-on-one relationship with clients and focuses on becoming their trusted advisor. He has diverse experience with clients in a wide range of industries including auditing technology companies.
Joon was seconded to PwC San Jose from 2004-2005 working with technology companies and venture capital funds with significant technology investments. He has extensive experience with prospectus filings in Canada and the US. In the fall of 2009, he was one of the Canadian representatives in PwC’s global leadership program called Genesis Park — a program that is reserved for top-performing contributors to the long-term success of the firm. Creating close personal relationships across global borders is a key enabler for collaboration. To that end, the purpose of Genesis Park is to help PwC leaders develop global networks in order enhance service delivery to their clients.
Joon is also an active member of the local technology community. He is currently the Treasurer of Digital Alberta and has participated in local technology events such as the Banff Venture Forum and Accelerate AB.
