Sodecia and Matador will establish a joint venture

The PwC’s transactional team, led by Mr Alexander Šrank and Mr Pavol Pravda, worked on the sale of the minority interest in Matador Automotive Vráble. The strategic partnership is a joint venture between Matador Automotive Vráble, a Slovak company, and Sodecia Automotive Europe, a Portuguese firm. Sodecia will extend its global presence to almost 50 plants via an equity share in the Slovak automotive company. After purchasing shares in Matador Automotive Vráble from its parent company, Sodecia will obtain an ownership interest in the Slovak plants in Nitra and Vráble, the production of which has recently been extended, a plant in Liberec, Czech Republic, and, via a share in Matador Automotive Rus, an influence over contractor’s production, above all for the VW Group in Russia.
