Who can participate in the Challenge?

Any undergraduate or diploma student currently studying in a university/college ('Higher Education Institution') in Malaysia. 

Malaysian students enrolled in a university/college outside of Malaysia are eligible to participate. For those participating outside of Malaysia, all members of the team must be Malaysian and be based in the same country. 

Non-Malaysian students studying in Malaysian campuses are eligible to participate in the Challenge. However, each team must comprise at least two (2) Malaysian team members.

Teams must agree to participate either fully physically at PwC Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur office or fully virtually. 

How many members should we have in a team?

Each team must have four (4) members. Each participant is only allowed to join one (1) team. 

Is there a joining fee to participate in the Challenge?

No, there is no fee to participate in the Challenge. 

If I have previously participated in the Trust Builders Challenge, am I still allowed to join?

Yes, past participants are welcomed to join. 

I expect to graduate between the submission date and Finals, am I still eligible to join?

Yes, as long as the participant is enrolled as a diploma or an undergraduate student and will not commence employment after 22 August 2023, they are able to participate in the Challenge.

I’m currently based in the Klang Valley, but I have a team member based overseas. Will my team be able to participate in the Challenge physically?

Teams need to make a group decision if they would like to participate in the Challenge fully physically or fully virtually. Should any or all of your team members be unable to physically be in PwC Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur office during the time of the pre-finals party and Finals presentation, the entire team will have to participate fully virtually. 

Kindly note that teams with all their members based in Malaysia are highly encouraged to participate in the Challenge fully physically. For these teams, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis to participate in the Challenge fully virtually but this is not guaranteed. Can each team submit more than one submission?

No, each team can only send in one (1) submission. 

What do I need to have ready before my team submits our application?

As a team, you will need to have the following information ready before you submit your entry:

  • Your team name
  • The full name, contact number, email address, university, and course of study of each team member
  • Answers to all of the questions
  • Confirmation from all team members that they have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of the Challenge

When will the finalists be announced?

Eight teams will be shortlisted for the Finals. Announcement will be made on 22 August 2023 on PwC Malaysia's website and social media pages.

When and where will the pre-finals party / final award presentation be held?

The pre-finals party and the final presentation will be held at PwC Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur office, Menara TH 1Sentral. More details will be provided at a later date.

Who will be the judges and mentors for this Challenge?

The names of the judges and mentors will be released at a later date. 

Can I exchange my prize(s) for a cash reward?

No, all prizes are not exchangeable for cash.

When will the trip to Vietnam be?

More information on the trip will be provided at a later date.
