Terms and conditions

Please read carefully the terms and conditions (‘T&C’ or ‘Terms’) that govern your participation in PwC Trust Builders Challenge 2023 (‘Challenge’).

Participation and conditions of entry:

1. Team requirements:

  • Four (4) members per team only. 

  • Team members must be:
    • Undergraduate or diploma students currently studying in a university/college ('Higher Education Institution') in Malaysia (any nationality), or Malaysian students currently enrolled or studying in a university/college outside of Malaysia.
    • Team members can come from different universities/colleges and study different courses.
  • Further clarification on the terms above:
    • Non-Malaysian students studying in Malaysian campuses are eligible to participate in the Challenge. However, each team should comprise at least two (2) Malaysian team members.
    • For teams looking to participate from outside of Malaysia, all four (4) members of the team must be in the same physical location during the Finals on 23 September 2023. All team members must be Malaysian passport holders and you will be required to present your solutions live at the Finals via a video call.
  • Teams must agree to participate either fully physically or fully virtually. Teams participating fully physically must be able to be physically present in PwC Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur office for the Finals presentation.

  • Teams based in Malaysia are highly encouraged to participate fully physically. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

2. No participation fee is required. 

3. All deliverables must be in English. 

4. Submissions must be completed via our online submission form. 

5. Each participant can only be in one (1) team.

6. Each team can only send in one (1) submission. 

7. Submission requirements:

  • Groups need to respond to the Problem and submit their responses via our online submission form
  • There are two (2) sections in the submission form
  • Include citations in your response

8. The finalists will be announced on 22 August 2023. Next steps will be announced thereafter.

General

As an individual participating in PwC Trust Builders Challenge 2023, I agree to the following:

  • All ideas and materials submitted must be the participants’ own work. Any kind of plagiarism and/or use of reference material(s) without citing sources is strictly prohibited and will lead to either a penalty or disqualification at the organiser's discretion.
  • I understand and agree that all Challenge guidelines must be followed in order to qualify. 
  • Finalist teams will be subject to a separate ‘Authorise & Release’ agreement, as participants and materials produced for the Challenge in any form may be reused as promotional content.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash money.   
  • The decisions of the judges are final.   
  • I am of lawful age and of sound mind, and have read and understood these Terms and Conditions. 
  • The personal information that I am required to provide for the submission is accurate and valid.
