Promoting inclusion and diversity (I&D) has always been an important part of PwC’s values and strategy. This is why we are focused on fostering a culture of belonging and equity where a diverse community of solvers can thrive and feel like they truly belong.
Our purpose-driven I&D strategy is built upon the foundation of Inclusion First systems and behaviours.
Inclusive hiring practices
We are open to recruiting individuals with disabilities, including those with physical disabilities and neurodivergence. Our recruitment process is accessible and welcoming to all.
Reasonable adjustments
We understand that everyone has unique needs. And we’re ready to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that the necessary tools are available to help create an environment for everyone to thrive.
On-the-job support
We provide development through career coaching, on-the-job and classroom training, and a digital library of resources to help all our employees succeed in their roles.
In 2022, the PwC Global Disability Inclusion Strategy was launched with the aim of elevating disability and driving action both internally at PwC and externally, to improve the lives of people living with disabilities and those who care for them.
At PwC in Malaysia, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusion to drive innovation and success. We strive to create a workplace where our people feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential, regardless of their role and abilities. As part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, we welcome individuals with disabilities and provide the necessary support where possible to succeed in suitable roles.
Internal firm services
Working at PwC has been an enriching experience, thanks to its strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, which fosters a supportive and dynamic environment. The emphasis on professional growth and collaboration, along with the support of my colleagues, has enabled me to develop my skills while contributing to meaningful projects.
Internal firm services
Initiatives like Yayasan Gamuda’s Enabling Academy provide opportunities for neurodivergent individuals like me to participate in the workforce on a level playing field, which is how I had my start in PwC as an intern in the corporate sustainability team. I’m now an associate in the procurement team, looking after purchase requisition and purchase order requests. Compared to my experiences in the F&B and e-commerce sectors, my work at PwC feels more meaningful; I get to actively apply my critical thinking skills rather than sitting around, waiting for my help to be needed.
Our commitment to inclusivity means we strive to match candidates with roles that align with their skills, experience and capabilities. Depending on the needs and demands of the role, there are areas where people with disabilities (PWDs) can explore at PwC in Malaysia.
