What happened in FY25?

  1. In FY25 we took action. We worked side by side with clients, communities and each other, from collaborative projects to corporate social responsibility, inclusion and diversity and team events. Explore the timeline to see the moments that set progress in motion, where we focused our effort and the impact we delivered.

  2. We appointed 4 new Directors: Marie Claire Shead and David Gafa within the Assurance line of service, Stefan Diacono within the Finance and Corporate Managed Services line of service and Etienne Falzon within PwC Digital Services Malta Limited.

  3. We issued the results of our annual CEO Confidence Tracker Survey suggesting a dip in business sentiment at the time, whilst outlook remained largely stable.

    We launched another round of Economic Outlook results for 2024 highlighting a moderation in economic activity in Malta across various sectors.

  4. We issued our report focused on Malta’s ranking in the Jones Lang LaSalle (‘JLL’) Global Real Estate Transparency Index (‘GRETI’) revealing that Malta still ranked within the list of “Low Transparency” countries, lagging behind other European countries.

    Alongside FHRD, we released the results of the 10th edition of the annual HR Pulse Survey where the most pressing human resources concerns for the year were identified as: difficulty in attracting the right talent (85%), skills availability to drive growth (79%), and employee retention (70%).

    We launched another round of our Giving Back initiative encouraging staff members to dedicate a workday to volunteering with one or more NGOs from a pre-approved list.

    We collaborated with Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU) for another edition of Freshers’ Week. Apart from sponsoring this important event, we welcomed several students to our stand, showcasing the several opportunities they can benefit from when working at PwC.

  5. We renewed our gold collaboration agreement with the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, underscoring their commitment to fostering business community growth and supporting a forward-looking vision for the country.

  6. We announced the appointment of 3 new Partners: Eric Mackay, Joanne Saliba and Michael Borg as Partners within the Advisory, Assurance and Tax service lines, respectively.

  7. We held our biennial VAT Conference with a future-focused theme: “Unlocking the VAT Code: Mastering VAT in a Dynamic Landscape” where we explored the latest local and EU VAT developments such as the SME Directive, CJEU rulings and ViDA among others.

  8. We launched the first Economic Outlook results for 2025 outlining how Malta's GDP growth masked varying sectoral level performance, while higher value-added sectors experienced slowdown.

    Alongside the network, we unveiled a new brand positioning, visual and verbal identity for PwC, better reflecting how we work today to support clients to unlock and protect value and to ensure our identity provides the right platform for the future.

  9. We held another edition of our Intelligent Digital Conference which brought global experts and local innovators together to spotlight the role of emerging technologies in delivering tangible business results.

    We hosted the Future of Learning event where we delved into the transformative impact of learning, addressing a variety of topics, including AI in L&D, skills-based organisations, and developing strategies that are resilient to future challenges.

    We welcomed our alumni for a networking event to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate what it means to be part of the PwC community. These events showcase how working at PwC is more than just a chapter in one’s career.
