ADIT Modules

Module 1: Principles of International Tax Law

This module is based on OECD model tax convention and will help you to get orientation in key issues such as Principles of International Tax Law, Residence, Double Taxation, Conventions and Treaty interpretation, transfer pricing, the work of the OECD and international tax avoidance. This module is compulsory.

 

Module 2: Advanced International Taxation: Transfer Pricing option

This module is based on OECD model tax convention and it will improve your knowledge of transfer pricing methods, the arm’s length principle, comparability, compliance issues and avoiding double taxation and dispute resolution.

 

Module 3: Advanced International Taxation: EU VAT option

This module will help you understand all aspects of VAT law at the European level and the application of EU Law by the Court of Justice in a decided case.

 

Course details

ADIT is a highly interactive programme that consists of three modules. Each module contains eight 4-hour live online workshops.
Modules are specifically designed to help you develop the skills necessary to apply tax law to complex scenarios to solve problems, and demonstrate your ability to give practical advice to clients.

The ADIT programme is ideal for tax professionals responsible for administration of various taxes from an international perspective. It is also suitable for anyone who wants to gain more confidence and skills in international tax knowledge and need to understand various taxation systems and its application in their organisation.

 

There are no special requirements for the participants. 

Fees

Registration fee (valid for 5 years) is 210 GBP and fee per exam is 195 GBP. These fees are not included in the price of the course.

 

ADIT is assessed in a modular format and is awarded when all required modules have been completed. To gain the ADIT qualification, delegates must pass three exam modules: Principles of International Taxation, and any two modules from the range of optional exam modules (besides the mandatory Principles of Int. Taxation module, PwC Academy offers preparatory courses for Transfer Pricing and EU VAT modules). As an alternative to any one of the option modules, an extended essay may be submitted.

ADIT exam sessions are organised twice per year, with exams taking place in June and December. Modular certificates are also available for candidates who have completed both Principles of International Taxation and any one of the option modules. As an alternative to any one of the option modules, an extended essay may be submitted.

James Ryan AITI, CTA, ADIT, BA (Hons.) is a Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Irish Tax Institute. He also holds the specialised Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK). James has broad experience in advising personal and corporate clients in business and finance, has developed strong business and advisory relationships with the Banking, Legal, Pensions and Financial Industries. His background in financial services combined with his tax expertise gives him a holistic understanding of the interchange between finance, planning and tax.
