Chris Vangou is a partner in the Tax services practice of PwC working in the North York office. He is also a member of the firm's Real Estate Advisory Tax services group.
Chris is primarily involved in providing advice to public and private real estate companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and tax-exempt funds. He advises companies on tax planning for acquisitions, divestitures, partnership and joint venture arrangements, financings, and investments in and outside of Canada. His clients are involved in land and commercial development and ownership of office, shopping centres, hotels and residential properties.
Chris has specialized in real estate taxation since 1992. He joined PwC after 1999, after serving as director of taxation at two public real estate companies where he was responsible for all tax planning and compliance matters.
He is a CA and University of Toronto graduate. Chris is also a member of the tax committee of the Real Property Association of Canada. He has presented at various conferences and seminars, and is a former group study leader of the Canada Institute of Chartered Accountants' In-depth Tax course.
