Building trust while keeping people—and Canada’s vital infrastructure—safe.
In a world where global security alliances are fracturing, organized crime and terrorist networks are increasingly sophisticated, cyber threats are evolving at a breakneck pace, and extreme weather events like wildfires and flooding are occurring with greater frequency, the ability of Canadian public safety organizations to act with confidence isn’t just important—it’s essential.
Recognizing the imperative is easy. Being ready for anything is more complicated—especially for public safety organizations across Canada already working to balance fiscal and resource constraints, technology debt, and an erosion of public confidence and trust. Public safety organizations need to be able to plan and protect Canada’s people and critical infrastructure from a growing array of risks—and to act quickly and decisively when incidents occur, no matter the cause.
Keeping Canada safe, secure, and resilient will take rethinking what public safety means in our rapidly changing world—and reimagining what public safety organizations do, how they are structured and funded, and how they operate. It’ll also take equipping them with the people, capabilities, data, technologies and tools, and support structures and processes they need to fulfill their mandates.
A focus on value-driven outcomes, fiscal responsibility, and accountability will be essential. As will cross-sector collaboration—such as by working across the health, justice, and social services sectors to address the root causes of social disorder that are impacting perceptions of safety across Canada. Rethinking how these sectors work together provides an opportunity to improve outcomes, reduce the pressure on essential services, and save money.
We’re a Canadian firm with deep roots helping organizations working to keep Canada safe—from federal, provincial, and municipal governments and Indigenous communities to policing organizations, emergency management services, intelligence organizations, and critical infrastructure providers.
Our capabilities are underpinned by proven experience, knowledge of public safety, counterterrorism, and policing models used in Canada and other Five Eyes countries, and concrete understanding of the regulatory environment and funding structures and constraints facing municipal, provincial, and federal policing and public safety organizations. Our global network enhances our capabilities, letting us share insights into unique approaches to public safety, alternative models of policing, and different ways jurisdictions are protecting their critical infrastructure—physical and digital.
We want to help build a safer, stronger, and more resilient Canada by helping empower public safety organizations to be future ready. Working together, we can establish the building blocks you need to face the uncertain future with confidence and agility—from rethinking and reinventing operating and funding models and assessing and managing workforce and training needs to helping you navigate digital transformation from end to end. We can also help you make the most of your data—and leverage innovations like automation and AI—so you can make informed decisions and act quickly when time is of the essence.
We’ll collaborate with you and provide the specialized capabilities you need to turn vision into reality along every step in your reinvention journey—from defining the value you want to provide and the outcomes you want to achieve to determining what needs to change (e.g., operating model, people, processes, technologies), managing your transformation activities from end to end, and measuring the outcomes you achieve—so you can be future ready.
We’ll apply the lessons we’ve learned from our experiences building trusted relationships with Indigenous communities and policing services across Canada to understand your unique situation and desired outcomes, help you navigate funding models and legal challenges, advocate for getting the resources you need to provide the services required to keep your communities safe, and establish the operational and technological foundations you need to provide policing and community safety services that are culturally appropriate, operationally efficient, and fiscally responsible.
We’ll help you build the operational foundation you need to carry out your critical mission—planning for and responding to an increasing array of emergencies (e.g., natural disasters, human-led attacks, cyber attacks)—whether that’s helping you rethink your strategy, develop a business case for transformation, improve your back end systems and processes, harness the power of your data and innovations like automation and AI, or build internal capabilities.
We’ll help you define your minimum viable organization or economic system so that you can understand what activities matter most to your ability to perform critical functions and to build the resilience you need to maintain operations—or restore operations quickly—in the case of an incident or cyber attack.
We’ll help you understand rapidly evolving cyber threats—from insider risk and cyber-disruptions to cyber-prepositioning—and work with you to enhance threat intelligence capabilities, understand and reduce your vulnerabilities, strengthen your cyber posture, use available cybersecurity tools and technologies more effectively, manage your risk exposure, and act quickly in the case of cyber threat activity.
We’ll work with you to develop integrated community safety approaches—from developing integrated community safety strategies to fostering collaboration between stakeholders, building strategic alignment across organizations, and implementing enabling tools and technologies—so that all responsible organizations are ready to address root causes and improve outcomes for your communities.
We’ll work with you across all aspects of assessing your policing model—from determining your strategy and evaluating your options based on rigorous and credible financial analysis and due diligence to helping you navigate the end-to-end transition from one policing model to another if needed—so you can build trusted, responsive, and value-driven policing services able to achieve real, measurable outcomes.
We’ll help you reevaluate workforce strategies, create streamlined and resilient organizational structures, implement workforce management solutions, understand changing capability needs—including digital and AI skill sets—develop training programs and tools, and support your people through major transformation initiatives.
We’ll apply data-driven approaches to the challenges and opportunities you face so you can make timely and well-informed strategic, operational, and financial decisions.
We’ll help you navigate your enterprise technology journey from end to end, working with you to establish your digital strategy data and technology backbone you need to underpin seamless operations, embrace innovative capabilities like AI, and empower your decision making with data analytics and real-time intelligence.
We’ll manage your IT infrastructure, back-office operations, and cybersecurity services so you can focus on keeping people and critical infrastructure safe and the Canadian economy going strong.
