Sarah Keyes is a Partner specializing in Sustainability Strategy and Transformation and she is the National Sustainability Data & Technology Leader for PwC Canada. With over 15 years of experience, she leads initiatives that integrate sustainability factors into corporate strategy, with a focus on enhancing long-term value creation and organizational resilience. Her expertise lies in advising executive teams and boards on aligning sustainability risks and opportunities with strategic business priorities and enterprise risk management.
Throughout her career, Sarah has worked with a diverse range of clients across industries such as financial services, energy & utilities, mining, transportation, infrastructure, and real estate. Prior to joining PwC Canada, Sarah was the CEO at ESG Global Advisors, a boutique firm that supported over 175 clients across sectors to conduct ESG materiality assessments, develop ESG strategies and governance models, and report to investors and stakeholders on these issues.
Sarah is actively involved in corporate governance education with the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), facilitating modules on Enterprise Risk Management and ESG Oversight in the Director Education Program in Toronto. She also serves as the National Academic Director for the ICD’s Board Oversight of Climate Change certificate program
In 2023, she was named one of the Top 50 Changemakers by The Globe and Mail. Sarah holds the designation of Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, FCA). She serves on the Boards of Directors of the Responsible Investment Association (RIA Canada) and the ICD’s GTA Executive Chapter.
